About
From a previous intern: "Interning at CCJ was a great opportunity to learn first-hand about the challenges facing the communities in the coalfields of Pennsylvania. The work I did as an intern was meaningful and fit within CCJ’s mission of advocacy. Every interaction I had, whether with CCJ staff or community members, taught me something new about the region, about environmental justice, and about the true impacts of fossil fuel extraction. The executive director of CCJ, Veronica Coptis, was really invested in our experience and making sure we meet our goals for the month. Through her, I was able to learn about nonprofit management and attend meetings with other environmental justice nonprofits - which ultimately helped me define my future career plans."
