Located next to St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Burke Plaza is a high-rise apartment building with beautiful neighborhood views and great nearby services. Designed for seniors and persons with disabilities, Burke Plaza offers a variety of educational, social, recreational and support services, which promote independent living and an active lifestyle. Built in 1978, Burke Plaza is named in honor of Richard A. Burke, who served as Executive Director of the Lincoln Housing Authority from 1971 to 1987. There are short-term, long-term, and one-time event opportunities available. Commitment requirements vary. Groups and individuals are both welcome! At Burke Plaza, you'll have the ability to work with older adults. Your work may or may not include dealing with office work, interpersonal skills, and medical or religious interests.
