About

The Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) is dedicated to the people, partnerships, and technology that will ensure the future of American agriculture productivity in harmony with a healthy land. Our volunteer program, "The Earth Team," provides students the opportunity to work with our full-time NRCS professionals. This work is diverse, flexible and available statewide. Some available positions for volunteers at NRCS include: teacher/education specialist, laboratory aid, office assistant, Earth Team Volunteer Program, technology assistant, farmer/ranch, and environmental/outdoor activity participant. This is an excellent opportunity for environmental studies, conservationists, agronomist, biology, forester, computer science/graphic, natural resources, soil, range management, wildlife, and civil engineering majors. Both short-term and long-term opportunities are available, and individuals and groups alike are welcome. Times available or on Weekdays from 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Tech assistants are required to commit 4 hours per day, 5 days a week.
