Tabitha Healthcare Services is a faith based, non-profit, nursing and rehabilitation center specializing in elder care. It was the first agency in Lincoln to develop Home Health Care, Hospice, Meals on Wheels, Intergenerational Care, and the Green House Project TM. While serving at Tabitha Health Care Services, you'll have the opportunity to get involved with: hospice (20 hour training required), serving meals in dining room, chapel escorts (Mon-Fri, 9:15-10:30 AM), activities with seniors (Mon-Sun, 1:30-3:30), the gift shop (Mon-Sun 9 AM-6:30 PM), escorting people to and from appointments for physical therapy and beauty shop (Mon-Fri 8 AM-12 PM, or 12:30-4 PM), clerical assistance, friendly visits, print shop assistance, Meals on Wheels delivery volunteer (requires transportation and own driver's license), seamstressing, and laundry (Mon-Fri 8 AM-12 PM). This is an excellent opportunity for gerontology, health and human services majors. Schedules are flexible, and a regular one will be set based on your availability.
